If you or someone you love is suffering from stomach disorders like indigestion, you may be looking for information about healthy nutrition for gastritis or inflammation of the stomach.
Gastritis

Gastritis word refers to inflammation of the lining of the stomach. Gastritis may be acute, meaning that it comes suddenly and lasts only for a short time or chronic when symptoms persist for a long time.

    * Sore stomach
    * Autoimmune Disorders
    * Backflow of bile into the stomach
    * Long-term use of NSAIDs, including ibuprofen and naproxen
    * Drinking coffee and other acidic drinks

Doctors have many different methods for the diagnosis of gastritis. The first is the endoscopy of the stomach, where a thin tube carrying a camera and light is inserted through the throat and stomach. The camera allows the doctor to get a clear picture of your stomach and get a biopsy if needed.

Stool samples may also be collected to determine if there is blood. A breath test can also be used to determine whether H. Pylori, a bacterium that causes gastritis is usually present.
Gastritis can be prevented by avoiding long-term use of cigarettes, alcohol, NSAIDs and other drugs. Add yoga or other techniques to relieve stress in your routine can help prevent gastritis as well. Although diseases of the stomach, including gastritis, affecting up to 20 percent of adults, some of the main causes associated with these disorders are still misunderstood by many health care professionals. There has been little scientific research conducted related to the influence of diet on gastritis. However, there are some commonly used dietary guidelines, which appear to offer some relief to gastritis sufferers.Consume food containing flavonoids. Foods rich in flavonoids, like apples, cranberries, celery, onions and tea may help prevent the growth of Helicobacter pylori.

 Eat plenty of foods high in calcium and B vitamins, including raisins, broccoli, sea vegetables, almonds, and dark leafy greens.
 Avoid refined and processed foods like white flour and pasta. Eat whole grain versions of these products whenever possible.
 Avoid refined sugars. Use unrefined sweeteners including honey and maple syrup.
 Reduce intake of red meat. Eating fish, beans, nuts, seeds, and tofu for protein.
